A little bit about me
I was first drawn to Yoga as therapy many years ago when diagnosed with psoriasis a skin condition which was probably due to stress. I thank Yoga for restoring and maintaining my health.
I have been practising Yoga for some 30years and teaching yoga since 2007 after qualifying with the British Wheel of Yoga. I have studied many different approaches to Yoga, some of which now influence my teaching style and content.
My desire is to bring you classes and workshops that teach you how to live comfortably, at ease and happily in the body that you have been given. Each of us has a different model to work with and, therefore, different strengths, abilities, challenges and goals. My classes are inclusive to give everyone an opportunity to practise with variations or alternatives offered and encouragement to work at your own pace and rhythm as yoga is a personal thing!
Over the past 15 years I have been heavily influenced by the mindfulness and compassion training I undertook with Rob Nairn at Samye Ling Tibetan Monastery in Scotland which is a wonderfully inspiring location to study and has transformed my personal practise and influenced my Yoga teaching towards a heart-based practise. After 4 years of specific training I started teaching the Mindfulness Based Living programme in September 2014 and continues to be a popular course.
I offer Hatha Yoga classes from absolute beginners to experienced and also run weekend retreats. I am also available for private one-to-one classes, small private groups, workshops and corporate work.
You can find full details in the CLASSES section and RETREAT section in the tabs at the top of this page.
I am a British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) fully qualified and insured Yoga teacher and also a member of the Mindfulness Association.
